They are currently looking for a Camunda Tech Lead who can design and drive process automation solutions for clients in the insurance and financial services sector.

Your Role
You will develop and extend concepts for optimised business process automation, working directly with clients as an active member of agile project teams. You will lead and advise the development team on BPMN best practices while taking responsibility for answering complex technical questions with a long-term perspective.
You will:
- Develop and extend concepts for business process optimisation and automation
- Build features and improvements in a secure, well-tested and high-performing manner
- Plan, coordinate and execute testing and support applications in live operation
- Lead and advise the development team on BPMN best practices
- Advise business units to efficiently support them with IT solutions
- Support the sales process for automation-related services
- Collaborate directly with clients as part of agile project teams
Your Environment
Projects focus on business process automation for insurance companies across policy management, claims processing and other areas of the insurance value chain. The team works with Camunda, Java, Elasticsearch, Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, Docker and SOAP/REST web service environments.
What you bring
- Completed degree in computer science or a comparable field, or equivalent professional training
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Camunda projects
- At least 5 years of experience in IT projects
- Strong knowledge of Java and Elasticsearch
- Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Maven and Docker
- Knowledge of Camunda and SOAP/REST web service environments
- High degree of responsibility and ability to work independently
- Analytical and conceptual skills combined with deep business knowledge
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Proven leadership experience and team management skills
- Authorization to work in the European Union
Nice to have
- Experience building process automation teams
- Knowledge of GitHub workflows and actions
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Experience in API development
- Background in consulting, implementation or IT firms, particularly in insurance or bancassurance
