As part of a larger technology group, they drive innovative software solutions for the insurance industry and are looking to grow their team.
They are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer who can manage and develop application environments while bridging the gap between development and operations across multiple locations in Germany, with home office options available.

Your Role
You will take responsibility for administering resources and maintaining applications in production environments as well as test systems in the data centre. You will continuously develop new solutions and implement strategies for effective collaboration between development and operations, ensuring smooth software operation and supporting clients in the event of changes and incidents.
You will:
- Administer resources and maintain applications for production and test environments
- Select, configure and operate tools for efficient application service management
- Collaborate with developers on the further development of systems
- Develop and implement strategies for effective DevOps collaboration
- Support development projects and advise on DevOps topics
- Carry out changes and bugfixes and work with project-specific DevOps tools
Your Environment
Projects focus on web-based application environments in the insurance software sector, where reliability, performance and smooth operations are critical. The team works with Bash, Batch, PowerShell, Ansible, Windows Server, Linux distributions, Apache Webserver and Tomcat.
What you bring
- Experience in the development and maintenance of web-based applications
- Good knowledge of SQL and experience in the configuration and operation of databases
- Hands-on experience with IT platforms and application operations including Bash, Batch, PowerShell, Ansible, Windows Server, Linux, Apache Webserver and Tomcat
- Strong reliability and team orientation combined with excellent communication skills
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, at C1 level or above
